I wish to provide a brief history about my educational background and how I stumbled upon this great profession we call Chiropractic. I have been a sports nut and athlete most all my life (though much slower now). Late in my senior year of high school (1974), I was fortunate enough to receive a football scholarship to attend the local college in my quaint home town of Hastings, Nebraska. I graduated from Hastings College (in spite of myself) with a degree in physical education and a minor in English in 1978. After graduating college (whew!), I taught 9th grade English in a predominately African-American jr. high in an inner-city, Kansas City, Kansas school district for two years.
Being young (naive) and constantly without cash, I eventually quit teaching, due simply for the desire to earn more money, as living on rice and cream-of-anything soup soon got old.
